[chromium-discuss] Building an older version fails at gn step

I'm attempting to build an older version of Chromium and I checked out
commit "c1995be807fd95a833d93eef029a8642782b0d6e" from May 29, 2015. I
checked the Wayback Machine for build instructions from that time and it
says I can use GN, which is good because I can't get GYP to work. I already
built and ran the most recent version of Chromium, so I know GN works. Here
is the error I'm getting:

I get this error even if I specify arguments in a text file. I suspect it
has to do with DEPS but when I tried "gclient sync" in the src folder, it
seemed to be downloading the latest version of the source code. Does anyone
know what step I'm missing?
