[chromium-discuss] Domain forwarding causes ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR with a notification of "This site can’t provide a secure connection"

I've got a website being hosted by 1and1. The http address is being
redirected to https. I have another domain at 1and1 and I set up domain
forwarding to the first site mentioned. When I use chrome and go to the
domain that is being forwarded, I get a "This site can’t provide a secure
connection" notification and an "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR". I've tested with
other browsers (Safari, IE, Edge) and there is no problem. Chrome just
gives me the error and never follows the forwarding.

Anyone have any suggestions to remedy this? Thanks.
