[chromium-discuss] can't get rid of Chromium

I accidently downloaded Chromium and can't get rid of this insidious
software. I uninstalled it but later get a message asking me if I want to
configure a new version and this pop up prevents me form using Chrome so I
have to say yes (as there is no option to say no) . This is a really
invasive programme which I need helping ridding

The Chromium binaries that the Chromium project makes available online (for
testing only) do not update, install or launch automatically.
​You are probably infected with some malware that use some customized
Chromium binaries as one of its malicious mechanisms. :(
