[chromium-discuss] how to change chromium application name

Hi Chromiums

I am looking at win build to rename the application name. Like About
“my_product_name.exe”,not "chrome.exe".

Can i do this via translate files or what files need to be modified?

Strings like "About Chromium" are indeed translated. You need to change the
various GRD files for that, and/or maybe the XTB files.

The file names are probably hard coded in the .gn or .gni files somewhere.

You can use cs.chromium.org to quickly browse and search the code (though
it provides cross-references information for Linux, not for Windows, it
should be able to search all of the source files).
